Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 16, 2026  ·  Last Updated: May 19, 2026

Attorney review recommended before final publication. This policy covers CCPA/CPRA, TDPSA, CUBI, COPPA, and US state privacy laws as currently understood. Key areas for counsel review: Section 2.4 (Texas Biometric/CUBI — face geometry consent and destruction schedule); Section 7.3–7.4 (state privacy rights, especially Texas TDPSA and the appeals process); Section 22 of the Terms of Service (arbitration clause and class action waiver). Particularly important if you have members in Illinois, Texas, or Washington.

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Veezavee ("Veezavee," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you access or use the Veezavee website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Services"). Veezavee is an exclusive, video-first dating platform available to verified adult members in the United States.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Services. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Terms of Service.

The short version: We collect only what we need to run the platform, protect our members, and improve the experience. We do not sell your personal information. We do not show ads. Your videos and photos are DRM-protected — no one can download or screenshot them.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Services, and information we receive from trusted third parties.

2.1  Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, sexual orientation, and the credentials you set for your account.
  • Profile Content: The live 15-second video intros you record, any photos or written prompts you add, and any information about your interests, preferences, body type, height, or lifestyle that you choose to include on your profile.
  • Identity Verification Information: Government-issued identification (e.g., driver's license or passport), a selfie or liveness video used to confirm the ID matches you, and related metadata. Because this may include biometric identifiers, we treat it with heightened care and do not retain raw ID images on Veezavee servers after verification is complete — verification is processed by a certified third-party partner using AES-256 encryption.
  • Communications: Video messages, text messages, and other content you send through the Services, as well as messages you send to our support or moderation teams.
  • Payment Information: Billing name, billing address, and transaction records. We do not store full payment card numbers; card data is collected and processed directly by Stripe, Inc. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Application and Survey Responses: Any information you provide when applying for membership, responding to surveys, or submitting feedback.

2.2  Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and Technical Information: Device model, operating system, browser type, language settings, IP address, mobile network and carrier information, and unique device identifiers.
  • Usage Information: Screens or pages viewed, features used, buttons clicked, time and duration of activity, error logs, and crash data.
  • Location Information: Approximate location based on IP address, and — if you grant permission — more precise location for distance-based matching. You can disable precise location sharing at any time in your device settings.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.

2.3  Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from identity verification providers, payment processors, analytics providers, fraud-prevention partners, and communications platforms. Key third-party service providers include:

Provider Purpose
StripePayment processing and subscription management
AgoraReal-time live video calls within the platform
SightEngineReal-time AI video content moderation
AWS (Amazon Web Services)Cloud storage (video and photo hosting with signed URLs)
TwilioSMS verification and messaging
BrevoWaitlist and member email communications
SupabaseDatabase and authentication infrastructure

2.4  Biometric Data — Texas CUBI Disclosure

Required disclosure under the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act (CUBI), Tex. Bus. & Com. Code Ch. 503. This section also applies to biometric data practices relevant to members in other states with biometric privacy laws.

As part of our optional identity verification process, Veezavee (or our certified third-party verification partner) may collect, store, and use biometric identifiers — including facial geometry data derived from a live selfie or liveness check submitted during verification. Live 15-second video introductions recorded within the platform may also contain biometric information.

Purpose: Biometric identifiers are collected solely to confirm that the person submitting verification materials matches the government-issued ID provided, to prevent fake profiles, and to maintain platform integrity. They are never used for any commercial purpose beyond this.

Written Consent Before Collection: Before any biometric identifier is collected, you will be presented with an in-app consent screen that clearly states what data is being collected, why, and for how long. Your affirmative tap of "I Agree" constitutes your written consent under CUBI and occurs before any collection begins. You may decline identity verification — it is optional — and your decision will not affect your ability to use the platform, though your profile will not display a Verified badge.

  • Retention & Destruction Schedule: Biometric identifiers will be permanently destroyed no later than the earlier of: (a) 3 years from the date of collection; or (b) 1 year after the purpose for which the identifier was collected has been fulfilled (e.g., successful verification completion, failed verification, or account deletion).
  • No Sale or Profit: Veezavee does not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from biometric identifiers or biometric information under any circumstances.
  • Security Standard: Biometric identifiers are stored and transmitted using AES-256 encryption — the same or greater standard used to protect all other sensitive and confidential member data.
  • Third-Party Disclosure: Biometric data is shared only with our identity verification partner solely to perform the verification service. That partner is contractually required to comply with all applicable biometric privacy laws and may not use, retain, or profit from the data for any other purpose.

To submit questions or requests about your biometric data, email hello@joinveezavee.com with subject line "Biometric Data Request."

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Services — including matching, profile delivery, messaging, and feed personalization.
  • Verify your identity and eligibility, prevent fake or duplicate accounts, and enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions, issue refunds, and provide customer support.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, harassment, abuse, violations of law, and other safety concerns — including by reviewing reports and conducting video moderation.
  • Communicate with you about your account, important updates, and security alerts, and — with your consent — marketing or promotional information (which you may opt out of at any time).
  • Conduct research and analytics to better understand our members and improve the Services.
  • Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, and protect the rights, property, or safety of Veezavee, our members, or the public.

How We Share Your Information

With Other Members

Your profile content — including your live 15-second video, display name, age, approximate distance, and any prompts you add — is visible to other verified members consistent with your settings and the platform's matching logic. Content sent in private messages is visible only to you and the recipient, subject to moderation review.

With Service Providers

We share information with vendors that help us operate the Services (listed in Section 2.3 above). These vendors are contractually required to use the information only to provide services to us and may not use it for their own commercial purposes.

For Legal, Safety, and Compliance Reasons

We may disclose information when we believe, in good faith, that disclosure is necessary to: comply with applicable laws, legal process, or governmental requests (including subpoenas and court orders); enforce our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines; detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, security, or technical issues; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Veezavee, our members, or others — including to prevent or report suspected crimes.

Business Transfers

If Veezavee is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice consistent with applicable law.

Aggregated or De-Identified Information

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for research, reporting, or similar purposes.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not share your data with advertisers. Veezavee products are ad-free.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements.

When you delete your account, your profile and associated content are removed from member-facing surfaces of the Services on a rolling schedule. Certain information — including moderation records, financial transaction records, and records required by law — may be retained for longer periods as required or permitted by applicable law.

Identity verification data processed by our third-party verification partner is not retained on Veezavee servers after the verification check is complete.

Biometric Identifier Retention & Destruction Schedule

Consistent with the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act (CUBI), any biometric identifiers collected in connection with identity verification will be permanently and irreversibly destroyed no later than the earlier of: (a) 3 years from the date of collection; or (b) 1 year after the purpose for which the identifier was collected has been fulfilled — including upon successful verification completion, failed verification, or account deletion, whichever occurs first. Our third-party verification partner's retention practices are governed by their own CUBI-compliant data destruction policies, which we contractually require them to maintain and enforce.

You may:

Appeals Process (TDPSA)

If we decline to act on your TDPSA request, you have the right to appeal that decision. To appeal, email hello@joinveezavee.com with subject line "Texas Privacy Appeal" and include a description of the request that was denied and the basis for your appeal. We will respond to all appeals within 60 days of receipt. If your appeal is denied, we will provide you with a written explanation and information about how to submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.

Note for attorney review: The TDPSA's applicability thresholds (100,000+ consumers/year, or 25,000+ consumers with 25%+ revenue from data sales) may not be met at launch. However, proactive compliance is included here to avoid retrofitting the policy at scale and because biometric data practices under CUBI apply independently of TDPSA thresholds.

Children's Privacy

The Services are intended solely for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. All members are required to confirm their age during registration, and identity verification is available to confirm age compliance.

If you believe a minor has provided personal information to Veezavee, please contact us immediately at hello@joinveezavee.com. We will investigate and delete the information as required by applicable law, including COPPA.

Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption in transit and at rest — all data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with AES-256 encryption.
  • DRM content protection — all videos and photos are protected against downloading or screen capture.
  • Signed video URLs — video content is served via expiring signed URLs (15-minute validity); direct links cannot be shared or replayed.
  • Access controls — internal access to member data is role-restricted, logged, and audited.
  • Rate limiting and bot protection — all API endpoints are rate-limited; login attempts are throttled and locked after repeated failures.
  • Real-time video moderation — live video content is scanned by AI (SightEngine) before delivery to protect members from harmful content.
  • Periodic security assessments — automated dependency audits run weekly; vulnerabilities are flagged and remediated promptly.

No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take strong precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

Veezavee currently operates exclusively in the United States and the Services are available to US residents only. Your information is processed and stored in the United States. If we expand into other regions in the future, we will update this section and implement any required data transfer mechanisms at that time.

Third-Party Links and Integrations

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites or services (for example, links in our safety section to external resources). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third party you engage with.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Services evolve or as legal requirements change. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting a prominent notice in the Services, by email to the address on your account, or as otherwise required by applicable law.

The "Effective Date" at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
